Repertoire Value

Repertoire or repertory refers to compositions
1) held in readiness for performance by a musician (he or she chooses certain works from her or his repertoire for a concert),
2) forming the reserves of particular instrumental genres (organ, piano, orchestral, and choral repertoire), and
3) offered or recommended in a recording catalogue.
The less frequently a work has been recorded, the greater its repertoire value, provided that important repertoire is involved.
